Grayson Highlands 5/28/2013

Wild ponies were grazing early in the morning as the trail passed through Grayson Highlands Park, just north of Mt. Rogers. Some hikers were lucky enough to get a close up visit from them, even being licked. I didn't get that experience, but it was really neat to see them, even if from a distance.

  1. HI ADAM- I am so sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital- However, God does work in strange ways- What a blessing you were with your friend at his house- I am sure it was a lesson well earned!!!
We want to know how soon you will be up our way- anywhere from Lexington up to almost Maryland- We really hope to see you!! Love you-- love Julie

  2. Remember...Ponies can be assisted living animals. You should ride one. Song

  3. Hi McGyver, I'm glad to see the updates and that you are moving forward. I just read the piece about dehydration - kind of scary. Its a good lesson and I'm glad you are okay.
I wish you the best of success, keep on truckin....

  4. Following your great adventure and so envious of your brave boldness!
Hang in there on those rainy days and keep looking for the rainbows!
    Happy Trails my friend!
