654 Miles

So, you may have noticed that it has been a while since my last post. To be honest, my morale has been at a low for the past few weeks, leading to an almost unenjoyable experience on the trail. I have been mainly concerned with pain, rehydrating, or thoughts of trying to get to the next meal, shelter or town. After much consideration over the past few weeks, I have decided to end my thru-hike attempt. However, I am quite proud with the 654 miles traveled through 4 states over the past 2 months. It has been nothing less than amazing.

I want to thank everyone for their support, encouragement and interest in my adventure. I hope to get back to the trail again one day to see sections that I have not yet experienced. I hope you enjoy the pictures below that I didn't get a chance to post.

Gronk also posted a short YouTube video of photos that covers his perspective of most of the 650 miles that I hiked:

  1. Thqnks for posting all of these breathtaking pictures!

  2. Hell of a walk, Adam. Well done. Inspiring photos.

  3. These pictures are great..., pre-loaded windows doesn't look like reality great!... and I will be using them as desktop wallpapers. Amazing!

  4. Hey MacGyver! I wondered where you were. I am sorry to hear you're off the trail, something with which I can commiserate completely. Interesting to read about your dehydration episode.

You're in a bunch of photos I took. You can get download them off flickr if you want to.

    Cheers, Adam ... :)

  5. MacGyver - congratulations on your trek. It may not be as much as you were planning but it is a heck of a big hike. Add in the ups and down and all the rest and it turns into a hell of a big hike. Your accomplishment is something that many dream about and few take the initiative to attempt. These adventures are supposed to be a fun experience and many times a variety of things conspire to turn it into an ordeal. At that point it is time to switch gears and move on to the next thing in life. It was a pleasure hiking with you and I wish you the very best. Bonjour
